Founded in 2020, Black Orchid Studio is a woman-owned salon, vintage shop, and plant boutique created by Jessie Laney. Drawing from her background in fashion design and her roots in Detroit, Michigan, Jessie designed the space as an extension of her creative world — one where beauty, style, and sustainability intersect.

Please consider joining us for a meeting and/or a happy hour afterwards to meet neighbors and chat about topics that matter to you. All neighbors are welcome to join us at these events, whether you've previously attended or not

Our meetings are now seeing an average of 30+ neighbors in attendance to engage on Skyland initiatives! We look forward to meeting and chatting with more of you as we approach Spring and Summer social opportunities, including the resurrection of weekly happy hours and our new gardening club!
