Who we are

RNOs are groups formed by residents and property owners within a neighborhood who meet regularly and whose organizational and contact information is kept on file with the city’s Community Planning and Development Department. Like all organizations active in the Denver community, RNOs are an important part of the fabric of the city and play a key role in the ongoing effort to make Denver a great place to live and work.

Our Mission

To inform and engage Skyland neighbors for the purpose of fostering a connected and resilient community capable of collective advocacy on behalf of the neighborhood.

Our Objectives

Encourage participation of all in the neighborhood in the concerns most relevant to the neighborhood;

  • Encourage positive discussion

  • Unite members

  • Promote civic service

  • Inform and educate members

  • Connect members with local government and interested parties

  • Partner with adjacent neighborhoods on common strategic initiatives

  • Improve quality of life

  • Build community

  • Maintain transparency

As always, we welcome you to engage with whatever time, talents, skills and thoughts you may have about how to build and nurture a more connected and resilient community we can be proud to call home. RNOs are entirely volunteer-based and it takes a cooperative village!

About Skyland: Did you know that Skyland has 1,659 households and a population of 3,427, per 2023 data? Bounded by York St, 23rd Ave, Colorado Blvd, and MLK Jr, Skyland is among Denver's smallest neighborhoods. Two-thirds of the neighborhood, 6 x 16 blocks, features a variety of late-1800's through modern residential & commercial property, while the other third boasts some of the best views of Denver from the City Park Golf Course. Skyland has a lot to love and we are excited to bring people together with a shared love of our neighborhood to create opportunities for us all.
