Black Orchid Studio

Founded in 2020, Black Orchid Studio is a woman-owned salon, vintage shop, and plant boutique created by Jessie Laney. Drawing from her background in fashion design and her roots in Detroit, Michigan, Jessie designed the space as an extension of her creative world — one where beauty, style, and sustainability intersect. The studio’s mid-century desert aesthetic sets the tone, blending warm textures, vintage silhouettes, lush greenery, and beautiful natural light to create an inviting, art-forward environment. Black Orchid Studio offers men’s and women’s haircuts and custom coloring services alongside thoughtfully curated vintage clothing and plants. Jessie has called Denver home since 2007, and the studio reflects her deep connection to the local creative community — inviting visitors to drop in, explore the clothes, grab a plant, a glass of wine and enjoy a hair service.
